Consultation

Free advice can be obtained from the Money Advice Service by clicking here.

During the consultation, we use a process called “Tailored Financial Reconstruction ™” which starts with an initial face-to-face consultation. We seek to understand the journey the client has taken to this point (the “back story”) as every case is different. We then perform a detailed financial assessment of their current position and discuss their future plans and objectives. This is vitally important as quite often, more than one solution will solve the short-term problem, but will have different long-term consequences.

Once in possession of all the facts, we will then give whole of market advice. We feel that this education is the most important part of the process. We will describe in detail every solution that is open to the client, the mechanics of how they work, and the pros and cons that apply in the client’s own unique circumstances. By using this approach, the client can then make an informed choice about the best way forward.

We will of course make our own recommendations, but ultimately it is the client’s choice. We will then walk the client through the process and support them every step of the way either directly through one of our in-house solutions, or through one of our carefully selected partners.

It is not uncommon (with the more complex cases) for more than one solution to be implemented. Before engaging in the process, we ensure (at the consultation stage) that the client is fully aware of the proposed solution, the mechanics of how it works and the pros and cons that apply in their own unique circumstances.

Advice and support is given on all aspects including (but not limited to):

  • Personal Guarantees
  • Debt management plans
  • Negotiated full and final settlements with creditors
  • Personal bankruptcy
  • Individual Voluntary Arrangements (IVAs)
  • Property repossession
  • Company liquidations and dissolutions
  • Company administrations, CVAs etc
  • Business turnarounds

For those who qualify, we offer either a face-to-face or a telephone consultation (depending on what is most convenient for the client). The qualifying criteria are as follows:

You must be resident in England or Wales, and either:

(A)  A Limited Company, or

(B)  A private individual who

  • Is a homeowner
  • Has personal unsecured debts of £50,000 or more (i.e. personal loans, credit cards, overdrafts, etc)

Please contact us and one of our Client Directors will call to book an appointment at a time and place that suits you.
